Laura Keith Thiel received her Doctorate in Keyboard Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Miami as a student of internationally renowned concert pianist, Ivan Davis and pedagogue, Rosalina Sackstein. She studied harpsichord and musicology with Professor Frank Cooper. Laura was on the faculty of the University of Miami Frost School of Music Preparatory Program and Miami Dade College. As a Steinway Educational Partner, she has maintained an active harpsichord and piano studio since 1980. Laura and her husband Doug are delighted to be living in Hendersonville. Western North Carolina holds wonderful memories for Laura, having been a Camper in Brevard Music Center studying with Sylvia Rabinof – Pianist, Composer, and Professor in The Juilliard Pre-College Division.
